I love snow. Love it! Love it! Love it! Without snow I would hate winter – it’s the only good reason I can think of for it to be cold outside. We just had the first snow of the season and I was so excited I had to go out and play in it almost immediately.
So picture me prancin’ and dancin’ around the yard with my dog (who also loves snow) when I realized I should probably go get the mail before it got all soggy. I was in an all out run to the mailbox and what do you think happened next? I fell. Face first. Into a snow bank. Just as a hot pink short bus full of painters drove by. That’s me, klutz extraordinaire...just call me grace…Its okay to laugh, its funny...No really – I don’t mind, I understand it was hilarious...I *promise* I won’t get mad if you laugh.
.....Hey! Why are you laughing? I could have hurt myself!! What if the bus driver started laughing that hard and swerved off the side of the road and ran me over?!?! I could have died!! You are so mean! I thought you were my friend!!
I’m just kidding - I laughed at myself too. In fact I was laughing before I even hit the ground. Because, even though it was horrifically embarrassing, the good thing about snow is that it makes for a soft landing. Even for those of us that aren’t exactly…dainty?
And here I am in all my uncoordinated glory enjoying the snow. Notice that I’m leaning on the tree to avoid falling on film. I figure sharing this story with you is enough - you don’t need the photographic evidence too!
