Snowpocalypse 2019

Eastern WA decided to cram the entirety of winter into just a week this year. We were basically snowed in from mid-Friday through Monday.

I was finally back to work yesterday, made in there and back fine even if drive was a little bit adventurous in a few spots. Apparently, they only felt like plowing the roads that run in one direction, which made getting from side street to side street ... Interesting? Frustrating? 

This morning we woke up to a nasty layer of ice under even more snow aaaaaand another day off. 

Now the only thing on my schedule today is getting some soup on the stove, blanket knitting and catching up (or starting) some of those shows I always say I’m going to watch but never find the time for. Might as well, right?

Super thankful we aren’t in one of the areas having trouble with losing power.

Yikes. Glad you've got power and can take the day off to avoid the ice carnival!

It has made me wish even harder that being a stay at home dog mom was an actual thing. Sadly that doesn’t pay, at all lol

Omg. I absolutely hate the heat but I don't think I could deal with driving on snow. We only ever had like an inch of snow that melted by the next day. That was plenty for me. I miss the cold but yeah. Hope you don't have to drive on ice very much. Stay safe

I used to be able to drive in it well, but too many years away from the northeast and too few people here knowing how to plow properly has made me a bit wary of it now. Bad roads mean almost no business, so we had a few snow days where I could just wait it out at home.
