I might hate the US Postal Service, but I LOVE EBAY.

Package of knitting needles from the auction I won arrived today, after spending the past 4 days in a post office not 3 hours from my house. I'm thinking someone might have sat on the box, but I was SOOOOOOOO happy to see this out front when I came home that I almost didn't care :D





Biggest score of the auction without a doubt? Boye NeedleMaster 200 BB. Barely used, if at all.



This has been the fun part to look through though - 3 cases full of random knitting needles, few crochet hooks all thrown in these three cases. So vintage coloured it hurts to look directly at them :D :D :D



Most of the afternoon has been just trying to list what all's in there and attempt some sort of arranging. I expect I'll move things around a dozen more times before I'm happy, and I haven't even added the few things I already had to the mess. Hey, it keeps me out of trouble.

I started teaching myself to knit this winter. Too hot in the summer here to even think about knitting... but then I have nothing to use come winter if I don't knit in the summer. Vicious circle! LOL

I'm in the middle of trying to knit a doll for one of my nieces. Hoping I manage to finish it by Christmas. I have yet to knit a practical warm keeping thing for myself (oops!)

For my neice, yes. For myself, no. But as soon as I finish this doll dress, I'm going to take a totally selfish break and knit a quick scarf for myself. I bought this recycled silk at the flea market, and now I finally have a big enough needle to make the scarf I wanted to.
