5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest (unless it's too troublesome to reach and is really heavy. Then go back to step 1).
6. Tag five people.
“Your father is a washed-out clock jockey. I think you over-estimate his chances – and his talents. Besides, we’ve got the summer of 1947 locked down so tight not even a transtemporal gnat could get back there without us knowing about it. Retrieve Jack from ‘The Raven’ and you can have your own dear hubby back.”
You made me read ahead and spoiler myself Nadine, hope you’re happy :P
The book is Lost in a Good Book (Jasper Fforde), and lucky for me I was reading it on Thursday (haha Thursday Next) Sorry. Moving on... The book underneath it is The Complete Sherlock Holmes, much much heavier.
Not going to tag anyone, but do it if you feel like (and don’t think the book you’re reading is too embarrassing)
We got an early start, but not the 3am one we meant to. RLBF fails at Alarm Setting 101, so we didn’t leave until about 4:30. I wasn’t complaining though since I didn’t get to bed until far too late. One the way over the pass we saw where all our snow is. We might not have gotten any on our side, but White Pass still has some. Practically June and they are still holding onto that snow. Pictures taken at 70mph so excuse the blur please.

Didn’t go back to sleep on the drive like I normally do, staying alert for animals in the road kept me awake. Between the both of us we spotted a few deer and a couple elk to avoid. Once we made it to Packwood we saw it was still early enough the elk had the run of the town. Well four of them had taken over the back streets on the edge anyhow. RLBF went to find his father while I wandered off to get a better look. I’ve never been close enough to realize how huge they actually are.

For some context, check out the truck in relation to the fence. Then look at the elk next to the fence. HUGE. They let me stare (and snap a few pictures) before wandering around it into a different yard and then back into the woods. Really made me wish I had my good camera *sighs*

Then we moved on to wandering the market together.
Winner for the most terrifying item goes to
*faux drum roll*

Cast iron dentist bank. Good for helping children develop of really healthy terror of the dentist.

And in a very close second for my own person fear we have the painted cabinet front. Especially scary as RLBF kept threatening to purchase it *shudders* SCARY RAGGEDY FREAK *coughs*

We bought some random odds and ends, but probably the least practical would be this ball o’ yarn. I don’t even know what I’m going to use it for since I’m pretty sure I would have needed two to even get a scarf out of it. Couldn’t help it though, damn pretty colours (this is terrible, like me and ‘special’ scrapbook paper hoard I have)

Anywho – there’s our day trip minus the boring details like an RV that wouldn’t start (rlbf’s dad), the twisted ankle (me, several times), the little boy that had to ask what everything cost 100 times (nephew Cody trying so spend his $5), watching people climb the fake rock wall in the rain (not cheering for them to slip, honest. I don’t know why RLBF jumped, not because I punched him the arm that’s for sure), Holly picture messaging me from her hotel room because it had a crack in the wall (she wanted me to know she was going to pray to Santa about it), the mean man who wouldn’t take less than $80 for an espresso machine and last but most certainly not least there was the chess set that gave me the giggles. Comes with a clock. So you can see who takes more time to finish. (HOW IN THE HELL AM I MEANT TO NOT LAUGH AT THAT NOW? Looking at you now, JK and Sue. Thanks a lot). I’ll spare you all the extra details on those stories (and more) though, have a great day everybody.
